The Sunshine Coast is home to the legendary Australia Zoo. Founded by Bob and Lyn Irwin in 1970, and since taken over by the late Steve Irwin in 1991, known to many around the world for his daredevil antics with wild crocodiles and snakes. Renowned for their love of ‘misunderstood and feared’ animals, the Irwin family continue in Steve’s legacy, sharing his passion for the zoo, so we can all ‘share and learn about the world’s wildlife’.
