Australian Visa requirements vary depending on which
visa you are applying for. The visa which you apply
for will be affected by the purpose of your visit and
your planned length of stay.
The most commonly applied for visas are the Australian
Tourist Visa, the Working Holiday visa and the long
stay visa.
Tourist
Visa Requirements
If you are planning on a holiday, for less than 3 months,
then you will need to apply for the Australian Tourist
Visa.
The requirements state that you will not spend more
than 3 months in Australia and you will enter the country
within 12 months of the visa being granted.
The cost of a short stay tourist visa is £16
Working
Holiday Visa Requirements
If you are looking to spend up to 12 months in Australia,
travelling around topping up your funds through incidental
work then you should apply for the Australia Working
Holiday Visa.
The requirements for this visa are that you must not
have any depended children, be over the age of 18 but
under the age of 31, be a passport holder from an eligible
working holiday country and have sufficient funds for
your initial stay in Australia.
The cost of the Australian Working Holiday
Visa is £189
Long
Stay Visa Requirements
In January 2006 the Electronic 676 visa replaced the
long stay form 48 visa. Passport holders from eligible
countries can now apply online for a stay of up to 12
months.
Pure Australia Company strongly
recommends that you do not book your flight until you
have been granted your visa.
