Brisbane Hostels

Not usually associated with modern cosmopolitan cities, Brisbane is famous for its relaxed and friendly style. Brisbane is by far the largest city in Queensland and boasts a population of almost one-and-a-half million. There is no shortage of Backpacker hostels which are scattered right across town and out to the coastal suburb of Manly. A huge hostel purposely built in 1911 and completely revamped, Base Brisbane Central is bang in the centre of town and icon in Australian backpacking. There is a small oasis on the roof top, a rowdy Down Under Bar and a restaurant to keep you occupied.

Kookaburra Inn is located in the heart of Brisbane, nearby to Brisbane City and all the backpacking must see sights. Rooms on offer include singles, doubles and twins all with refrigerators, towels and sheets. Relax in the courtyard, have a BBQ, chill in the TV room or go on the internet.
